Album Helper does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. All data the extension handles stays on your own computer, in your own browser.
The extension uses Chrome's local storage area to save:
This data is stored only on the device where it was created. It is not synced, not backed up to any server, and not accessible to the developer or any third party.
The extension makes network requests only in these situations:
The extension never contacts any server operated by the developer, any analytics service, any advertising network, or any third-party API. There is no tracking, telemetry, crash reporting, or phone-home behaviour of any kind.
| Permission | Used for |
|---|---|
storage | Saving your local album index and UI preferences |
downloads | Saving images you choose to download |
webNavigation | Detecting in-page navigation so the sidebar can update |
activeTab | Interacting with the current tab when you click the icon |
| Host access (facebook.com, fbcdn.net) | Restricting the extension to run only on these domains |
Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data. There is no separate cleanup step, and no data persists after uninstallation.
Any future changes will be documented here with an updated date at the top.
